作品以喜愛閱讀的小動物為主題，以擬人化的表現方式展現湖口圖書館可愛與溫暖的特質，也借此帶入湖口鄉的農特產與代表性動植物，如柑橘、水芋、水稻、南瓜、油桐花，動物則有可愛的貓狗、青蛙、白鼻心、穿山甲、獼猴、白鷺鷥...等等，使作品更可親且能傳遞在地情感，讓周遭附近之使用者提升認同感及共鳴。

The work is based on the idea of cute animals with a love of reading. The personification of the animals helps convey the cuteness and warmth of the Hukou Township Library. It also allows the incorporation of local agricultural produce (such as tangerines, arum lilies, Asian rice plants, pumpkins and tung trees) as well as animals representative of Hukou Township (such as cats, dogs, frogs, masked palm civets, pangolins, macaques and little egrets). This makes the work more amiable and better able to express local emotions, which can elevate surrounding users’ level of identification and resonance with the work.
